Cake Decorating Gel Recipe
2 envelopes Knox unflavored gelatine
2 tablespoons cold water
2 cups light corn syrup (try Karo)
In a heavy saucepan, sprinkle gelatine over cold water and let sit for about 5 minutes.
Stirring, heat mixture over low heat until clear and dissolved.
Do not boil.
Add corn syrup and heat thoroughly without boiling.
Remove from heat.
Add food coloring.
To decorate, put the decorating gel into an icing bag and apply to frosted cake.
It can be stored and refrigerated for up to 6 months.
