How to make coconut pecan frosting?

Coconut Pecan Fosting Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3 large egg yolks
  • 8 tablespoons butter, cut into pieces
  • 1 1/3 cup sweetened flaked coconut
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. In a heavy saucepan, combine sugar, milk, egg yolks and butter.
  2. Cook over medium heat, constantly stirring until mixture thickens.
  3. Just when the mixture starts boiling around the edges, reduce heat to low, and continue to stir for 1 to 2 minutes.
  4. Remove mixture from heat and add coconut and pecans.
  5. Let frosting cool.
