How to make Lassi?
Serve up this incredibly refreshing Indian lassi drink at your baby shower. Fit the drink into the theme of the party by adding a couple pieces of diced fruit atop your drink. Those throwing a moon and stars baby shower theme top their drink with candy glitter. Those throwing a ‘cute as a bug’ baby shower could top their drinks with candy bugs. Get creative!
Notes:
This recipe is refreshing for hot summer months. Try it for a July or an August baby shower.
Ingredients
- 6 cups plain yogurt (regular, not low-fat)
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 cup cold water
- Sprig of fresh mint
- 2 cups ice
Instructions
- Crush the ice in a blender.
- Add rest of ingredients and blend for a few seconds until combined. Serve cold.
- Makes 8, 1-cup servings.
- Add canned Mango pulp for a sweet, fruit-flavored lassi.
- Or add diced fruit in the color of your baby shower decor.
