It’s hard to believe this tempting treat also qualifies as a daily serving of fruit!
How to make chocolate covered apples?
Chocolate-covered apples grace your serving table, tempting guests to the max! Find M&Ms and candies in the color of your baby shower palette to color-coordinate with your shower decor!
My thoughts:
These mainly work well for an October baby shower theme.
Ingredients
- Apples (One for each guest. Try a firm apple, such as Fuji or Gala)
- 1 pound semi-sweet chocolate for each 6 apples
- Desired toppings (popcorn, shredded coconut, M&M's, etc.)
- Popsicle sticks
Instructions
- Wash apples and twist off stems.
- Push popsicle sticks into each apple.
- Refrigerate before coating (cold apples will coat better than room-temperature ones.)
- Melt chocolate in double boiler or microwave until completely melted and warm. (If you're using a double boiler, don't get any water in the chocolate.)
- When melted, slowly dip each apple in chocolate and turn until thoroughly coated.
- Use a spoon if needed.
- Sprinkle toppings on apples, if desired.
- Refrigerate until chocolate sets.
