How to make stork cake?
Storks have been symbolic of a new baby since the Victorian times. (And if you’re still wondering, babies are not delivered by storks!)
Variations:
Make a delicious ‘Stork’s Nest’ dessert out of almond bark and chow mein noodles. Melt almond bark and mix with chow mein noodles. Form in the shape of a nest and cool to harden. Fill the ‘nests’ with little candy eggs.
Pairs well with:
- Lullaby baby shower theme
- Nine months pregnant baby shower theme
- Moon and stars baby shower theme
My thoughts:

Ingredients
- We found a cute plastic stork online Amazon. Otherwise, do your own investigating online or check out your local party supply store for other stork cake toppers.
- Make a 9 x 13-inch cake.
Instructions
Decorating the cake:
- Freeze cake for at least 2 hours before frosting.
- Make a double batch of our basic white frosting.
- Reserve 1/2 cup and 1/4 cup of frosting separately.
- To the 1/2 cup, add food coloring to make a light blue frosting.
- To the 1/4 cup, add yellow.
- Frost partially frozen cake with white frosting, reserving about 1/4 cup for frosting clouds.
- Proceed with a piping light blue edge along the bottom of the cake.
- Above the blue edge, pipe a thin yellow border.
- With remaining 1/4 cup frosting, create frosting 'clouds' on the cake's surface.
- Add a drop of blue food coloring to create a pale blue-colored cloud.
- Finally, top your cake with pastel cake sprinkles and stork.
