How to make bruschetta?
This toasted bread favorite has never tasted better. Bruschetta makes it’s baby shower entrance.
My thoughts:
This appetizer bruschetta tops off your Sip and See baby shower menu.
Ingredients
- One baguette of French bread
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 clove garlic, halved
Tomato mixture
- 6-7 Roma tomatoes diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup fresh basil
- 1 tbsp. olive oil
- 1 tsp. balsamic vinaigrette
- Salt and pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Dice tomatoes, remove their seeds and juice.
- Add 1 tbsp. Olive oil, garlic, basil, balsamic vinaigrette and salt/pepper to taste.
- Refrigerate.
- Slice bread into 1/2 inch slices.
- Brush each slice with olive oil.
- Toast in preheated oven for about 5 minutes.
- Once toasted, rub halved garlic clove over one side.
- On the garlic-rubbed side, top each toasted bread with a spoonful of the tomato mixture.
