Ooey-gooey marshmallows covered in chocolate? Remind kids to eat their fruits and veggies before they dive into these!
How to make chocolate covered marshmallows?
Many baby showers include pint-sized guests. Please them with this wonderfully simple kid favorite.
My thoughts:
Consider serving these dessert treats at a Dr. Seuss or Snoopy baby shower.
Ingredients
- 1 10 oz. package large marshmallows
- 1 can chocolate cake frosting (your favorite brand)
- 1 cup finely chopped peanuts or other nuts
- Toothpicks
Instructions
- Stick one toothpick into the top of each marshmallow.
- Heat frosting in microwave-safe bowl until soft, but not runny (about 15 seconds.)
- Dip each marshmallow in chocolate, wiping off any excess.
- Allow to set for a couple of minutes.
- Dip each marshmallow in chopped peanuts.
- Put on waxed paper to set and chill.
- Remove toothpicks before serving.
